| Something to say: | I am a progressive-minded person. I enjoy intelligent conversations about everything from politics and philosophy to art and literature. I also have a good sense of humor that can sometimes be on the warped side. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I am outgoing generally---when I feel comfortable--creative and vibrant. I love animals. I am married and have three amazing cats. I am very big on animal rights. I love a diverse range of movies, from silent films, to arthouse and indie films, to comedies like Stepbrothers and Napoleon Dynamite. I also love French films, such as Amelie. My favorite music varies from punk, rock, metal, indie, French, like Edith Piaf--and some country--but in very small doses. Courtney Love is a major inspiration, as was Amy Winehouse. I was born in New Jersey and raised between NJ and Florida. I went to university in Pennsylvania and also in the UK and Scotland. I have traveled extensively throughout the UK and Europe and oftentimes feel more comfortable with European and British culture than I do with American culture. I was an English and Drama teacher, but changed to Social Work, working with children and the mentally ill. I am not looking for marriage proposals or perversion........So, don't even try. If you are on my wavelength and capable of having an enjoyable conversation, and want to talk to a diverse person, I would love to hear from you. I don't have kids, so unfortunately might not have much in common with someone who is overly talkative about their children's lives. I would prefer a British or European pen pal but am open to hearing from pen pals all over if we share interests....In the end, it's about minds meeting. That is the most important part.
